Rouen Cathedral

It’s not often that I shoot architecture but on a visit to France I took the chance to drop into Rouen cathedral to meditate, pray and appreciate the way previous generations had expressed their faith through the building of the cathedral. The building works took over 300 years with interruptions from wars, financial crises and fire. The site has been a place of worship for 1700 years and the sense of that continuous community of worship and prayer still seeps through.
