Bush cricket on buddleia

IMG_0740.8x10webAs the end of summer approached we found this female speckled bush cricket (Leptophyes punctatissima) peeking out of a buddleia bush in our garden. They might be common in southern England but for us she was a fantastic find in the middle of our urban lives.

Camera: Canon EOS 6D

Lens: 100mm f2.8 macro

Exposure: 1/90 sec, f16 ISO 1600, handheld
