I was hoping for some lovely low pre-dusk sunlight for this location but it wasn’t to be on this occasion. Instead, I decided to try and turn the it into an opportunity for a different look. With the dull and decreasing light I thought a black and white conversion might save something from the visit. With hardly a breath of wind I was confident that the boats wouldn’t show movement despite a four second exposure time. A narrow aperture and hyper focal focussing were used to try and keep the key elements sharp.
