Waiting groom

Weddings

2011-08-06-0034Here’s one of my favourite images from a wedding last month. The couple were brilliant to work with and great fun. As the ceremony starts it’s often a time of increased tension and contemplation. I love the solemnity and concentration on the groom’s face as the entrance procession starts with the vicar walking up the aisle.

I under-exposed the shot by about a stop or so and bounced flash behind me to give some extra punch to make the groom stand out from the under-exposed background.

I was so glad to be able to catch this moment which was not visible to most of the guests.

Technical details:
Camera: Canon EOS 5D
Lens: 24-70mm f2.8 L at 54mm
