While on a family camping trip we came across a field of oil seed rape with poppies growing in it. It just had to be photographed. Since I hadn’t intended to spend much of the trip on photography I was travelling light with just a 1.6 crop DSLR, a 10-22mm and a 24-105mm lens.
I wanted to play with an impressionist style and was happy with this image and one other.
To get the look that I wanted I experimented with some longer exposures, hand holding the camera and timing the shot for when the variable breeze moved across the flowers nearest me. Once I was back at home I chose the best of the bunch.
